The Chief Human Capital Officers Act of2002 (Public Law 107-296) requires the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to design a set of systems, including appropriate metrics for assessing the management of human capital by Federal agencies. In 2006, OPM published for public comment a draft of the Human Capital Assessment and Accountability Framework Systems, Standards and Metrics (HCAAF-SSMs). The HCAAF-SSM includes 11 metrics agencies will be required to report to OPM in their annual accountability reports.
OPM has revised the metrics and is providing training to agencies in June. We would like 1-3 representatives from each agency to attend this training. Agency representatives should include the manager(s) or specialist(s)who are responsible for delivering metrics data to OPM on the HCAAF-SSM.
OPM invites agencies to attend one training session on either June 11 or June 15 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Please have a member of your staff send the names, email addresses, and telephone numbers of the individuals who will attend this training to your agency OPM Human Capital Officer by June 1,2007.
